Hosting a House Concert
WHAT IS A HOUSE CONCERT?'
A house concert is a chance to experience music in a warm and intimate environment.
House concerts have been taking place for a number of years in the UK, Europe, the U.S.A. and beyond, and their popularity continues to grow.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
It's very simple - you just invite between ten and twenty (or more) friends, family, neighbors etc. to a concert in your home. Arrange all your chairs (patio furniture, high stools, etc.) concert style. If you need to, you might borrow a few chairs. On arrival, guests make a suggested donation, usually ten euro, which goes to the artist. The concerts are usually not amplified. The artist plays two 45 minute sets, taking a 15-20 minute break in-between for refreshments, socialising and selling CDs. The host sets out any details and makes sure the guests are aware of them before introducing the artists.
'A house concert is a unique and magical experience. Everyone walks away happy and it's a win/win situation. Your guests are thrilled
to be part of a 'happening' and you look great for bringing everyone together for such an exciting experience. There is little or no cost
to you, unlike throwing a party. A pot of coffee and some munchies is sufficient, although some folks ask guests to bring goodies,
food and drink, etc.' -houseconcert.eu

A house concert is a chance to experience music in a warm and intimate environment.
- It's an invitation-only, seated concert in someone's home, presented by a host who does not profit from the event.
- It's when someone opens up their home and invites you to their living room to share in a performance by one of their favourite musicians.
- It's a chance to meet the performers and get them to sign their CD.
- It's a collaboration between an artist, a host/presenter and their friends and supporters.
- Its aim is to support live music and to bring together music enthusiasts with both emerging and established artists.
